Scaling is not only adding servers.

Scaling is removing bottlenecks, also.

Before scaling, always ask:

👉 Where is the real constraint?

Common bottlenecks (explained):

• Database queries
Slow or heavy queries can block your system.
Examples: missing indexes, fetching too much data, or too many repeated calls.

• Network latency
Delay in data traveling between services or users.
Examples: slow APIs, too many external calls, or distant servers.

• Single-threaded processing
Handling one task at a time instead of many in parallel.
This creates queues and slows everything down under load.

• Inefficient algorithms
Using slow or resource-heavy logic.
Example: a task that could take milliseconds ends up taking seconds.
